Server is arrested after diverting a load of donations to a city affected by rains in RS

A city hall employee Roca Sales , in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, was preventively arrested on Thursday (21) after embezzling a donation valued at R$9,000. The supplies would be destined for the local population, heavily affected by the rains that hit the state in recent weeks.

Among the donated products were 210 bags of corn silage, 50 bags of corn grain and 20 bags of cattle feed.

A CNN , delegate Shana Hartz said that the server personally instructed the driver of the truck with the load to follow a different path than planned. Then, with the help of other people, the cargo was unloaded from the vehicle.

The server’s idea was to hide the donations in a bush next to his house. However, the man was intercepted by the police while transporting the goods.
