The service sector of the city of São Paulo earned R$ 54.502 billion in July, informed this Wednesday (19) the Federation of Commerce of Goods, Services and Tourism of the State (FecomercioSP).
The amount represents a record for the month in the Conjunctural Survey of the Services Sector (PCSS), which began in 2010.
As a result, real revenue in the service sector has risen 11.6% in 12 months and 9.9% in 2022.
The revenue accounted for in July 2022 represents an increase of 3.7% compared to the same month in 2021, according to data from FecomercioSP.
At the opening of the survey, the segment of tourism, accommodation, events and similar registered an increase of 136.7% in its revenues in July, in the interannual comparison.
Then come other services (22.4%), civil construction (14.2%) and legal, economic and technical-administrative services (12.2%).
Completing the list of sectors with growth in real revenues: conservation, cleaning and repair of movable assets (6.2%); Simple Nacional (6.0%); marketing and communication (5.2%); and education (4.4%).
On the other hand, there was a drop in real revenue in July, in the interannual comparison, the segments of representation (-11.2%), technical-scientific (-9.3%), agency, brokerage and intermediation (-9.0%) , health (-8.2%) and banking, financial and insurance services (-6.2%).
PCSS uses information based on data collected from the Tax on Services (ISS) of the city of São Paulo, through an agreement between FecomercioSP and the Municipal Finance Department.
