In a note published on the portal, Jovem Pan lamented Tuta’s death.
“It is with immense regret that Grupo Jovem Pan announces the death of Antônio Augusto Amaral de Carvalho, aged 93. Founder of Jovem Pan, Seu Tuta, communications icon, revolutionized the history of Rádio Jovem Pan and marked an era in television. He was admitted to the Sírio Libanês hospital in poor health.”

Tuta entered the journalistic world in the 1940s, on radio and television programs. In the 60s, he created festivals on TV Record.
In the 1970s, he transformed the old Radio Panamericana into Jovem Pan.
Tuta was responsible for the first live sports broadcasts, including Jovem Pan. He also won awards in his career, such as the criticism award offered by APCA.
