Seven places to eat tiramisu, the Italian sweet made from coffee and mascarpone, in SP

Year passes and year enters, the Tiramisu remains undefeated on the menus of renowned restaurants. One of the most famous sweets in Italy, its name came from the Italian expression “tirami sù”, which means “Pull me up”.

The layered dessert, with biscuit soaked in coffee and mascarpone cream gained popularity due to the contrast between the bitterness of the coffee and the sweetness of the mascarpone cream. The result is a balanced, light dessert that closes meals perfectly.

And like almost everything in gastronomy, there are several versions of its emergence. As varied as the stories about its origin are the versions of the recipe. “Tiramisu it’s like moqueca, each region has its own way of preparing it”, compares pastry chef Lara Carolina.

O Stella is the restaurant on the ground floor of the Hotel Conopy by Hilton Sao Paulo . Who runs the kitchen is the chef David Kasparian who created a menu that is a mixture of different immigrations that São Paulo received, but with contemporaneity. For dessert, it’s worth ordering the house’s super creamy tiramisu with cocoa (BRL 39).

O Modern Mamma Osteria , italian house of chefs Salvatore Loi with Paulo Barros serves in addition to the great pasta and lasagna that is a signature of the restaurant, a classic version of tiramisu (R$ 32) to end the meal.

Tiramisu Sossi

the chef Lara Carolinas (formerly Fasano) has a wide range of flavors of Italian sweets that are served in a different way: customers can choose, at the bar, the flavor of their tiramisu, which is made to order, in front of them (from of BRL 22). Among the flavors are the traditional, pistachio, hazelnut, white chocolate with amarena and salted caramel.

Il Capitale

O Il Capitale at Oscar Freire, quickly became point those looking for a place with a cozy atmosphere for a nice pasta, like the house carbonara. Among the desserts is a neat and traditional tiramisu (R$40) made by the chef Ricardo Dicamargo . For those looking for a more intimate experience, it is possible to taste the same dessert in the Fiaschetteria del Capitale the younger sister of Il Capitale with just 25 seats, in the same neighborhood.

Fasano

When it comes to Italian cuisine and Tiramisuit is difficult not to immediately associate it with the traditional Fasano. Elected the best in town for several years, the recipe was inspired by the chef’s grandmother Luca Gozzani and it is the restaurant’s most requested dessert. The classic sweet has biscuits and very light mascarpone cream, in addition to a touch of cocoa, marsala wine and coffee (R$66).

Pauline

One of the oldest and most traditional pizzerias in São Paulo, with over 70 years of history being visited by audiences from generation to generation, Pauline inaugurated its new unit in Jardins and debuts an Italian-inspired menu of à la carte dishes, served during the day and night, and an executive menu at lunchtime. Among the dessert options is the classic and well served tiramisu (R$ 28).
