Seven-year-old swam for an hour to save father and sister from river currents

A brave one seven years old in Florida managed to swim alone on the shore to call for help when the his sister and father were swept away by the rushing currents of a river.

As revealed by Steven Paust in the CNN, had opened on the St. John’s River in Jacksonville for his two children, seven-year-old Chase and four-year-old Abigail, to swim. However, all of a sudden, due to a strong current, the little one got carried away and her dad dived to save her.

The father told his daring son wearing a life jacket to swim to shore until he caught his sister. “I told them I loved them because I was not sure what was going to happen. I tried to stay with both of them. “But I was exhausted and the little one walked away from me,” says Paust.

Chase it took an hour of swimming to get to shore. As soon as he arrived, he ran to the first house he saw in front of him to ask for help.

Meanwhile, his father and sister had been dragged about three kilometers away from where his boat was. Rescue teams located them and collected them alive.

Jacksonville Fire Department spokesman Eric Prosuimer admitted that without the decisive contribution of the little one, the outcome of the adventure would be tragic.
