Several explosions were reported around the Ukrainian capital Kiev on Sunday (5). Mayor Vitali Klitschko said one person was hospitalized as a result of the actions.
“In reference to this morning’s explosions in the Darnutskyi and Dniprovskyi districts of the capital, there are currently no casualties of missile attacks on infrastructure. One victim has been hospitalized,” Klitschko said on Telegram.
Klitschko also reported that city services are operating in the affected areas.
“[A Rússia] continues to launch missiles and air strikes against military and civilian infrastructure in our country, in particular Kiev,” said the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
A journalist from CNN who observed the aftermath of the explosions said that in the northeast region of the city a thick column of smoke was seen in the sky.
There were also reports of missile attacks around the port city of Odessa.
