The Nevada governor has announced that state services were closed, websites have been shut down and the telephone lines are underfunded due to an unspecified “security event” on the network. Governor Joe Lombardo’s office said in a post on the X platform that some state -of -the -art websites or telephone lines may be delayed or not available until the problem is resolved. The Reuters agency was not able to contact the governor’s website and with many other Nevada services. It has not been clarified so far where the problem is due. Usually, such incidents are related to ransom attacks demanding, as they “lock” their victims’ computer network, causing extensive vacations. The infrastructure cyber security and security service said in a statement that it is “actively monitoring” the incident and “working with the state of Nevada to provide its help”.
