A pensioner has died after being hit by a bus in Edinburgh’s Cowgate area, with his head possibly severed from the rest of his body and found on the road. The police who were called to the scene, last Saturday, set up two scenes of forensic investigations and confirmed that the 74-year-old man had lost his life, but did not give any further information about the gruesome find. Videos circulating on social media show revelers in Halloween costumes picking their heads up from the ground, believing it to be a Halloween prank, before dropping it in shock. Police Scotland said they are aware of “videos and images circulating on social media” and have asked that they not be distributed as they cause distress to the victim’s family.
