“Sex and the City,” in the revival, Charlotte and Miranda’s children have become teenagers

Like mothers, so are children. Sex and the City, which for Hbo Max has decided to stretch to include an unprecedented revival, has also recalled the secondary characters of the original series. And, among those who have contributed most to account for the past, the “children” have appeared. Cathy Ang, a 25-year-old actress of Chinese and Filipino descent, appeared alongside Kristin Davis, the Charlotte York of Sex and the City wich was. And, in a floral dress matching that of the television mother, she took the part of Lily.

And just like that, therefore, it would not seem to have broken with the story as well as the television series before, the films then told it. The revival, whose filming is underway in New York, seems to have found the protagonists and their families, aged, yes, but not changed. Cathy Ang, although never appeared in the TV series and in the movies, gave a first and strong sign of continuity, showing how much the children of the (ex) girls have grown up. Lily, who in the original series was adopted by Charlotte York, is now in her twenties. Like her, she has grown up Rose, Charlotte’s biological daughter whose part went to young Alexa Swinton, and grew up Brady, Miranda’s eldest son, whose face is that of Niall Cunningham. The three, yesterday children, now adults, were seen on the set of the revival, each next to their (fictional) mother.

Smiling and well dressed, they accompanied the protagonists of the show, which should limit itself to showing how the women of Manhattan have grown: Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte, fifty-year-olds who, with Kim Cattrall’s Samantha Jones, have nothing more to do with.
