The Rio Grande do Sul Civil Police investigates a man suspected of committing hundreds of sexual crimes against children and adolescents in different states of the country.
The suspect was arrested on January 21, 2025 for child pornography storage. During the warrant, police seized digital media and requested an expertise from the General Institute of Expertise (IGP).
The report revealed the existence of 127 victims with Material evidence compatible with the crimes provided for in the Child and Adolescent Statute and the Penal Code. The stored folders exceed 700 which leads the police to estimate that the number of victims can pass this total.
The children had between 9 and 13 years at the time of abuse. According to Delegate Valeriano Garcia, the crimes were committed for at least 16 years.
“It is a case never seen by the police and the IGP experts for the organization and materiality of crimes of this nature,” said Garcia. The court granted, last Tuesday (29), a new request for custody against the man, this time for rape.
There are victims identified in several states, such as Santa Catarina, Paraná, Acre and Mato Grosso. The police also points out that many of the children had serious psychological consequences, such as Depression, suicidal thoughts, self -mutilation, panic, school difficulty and sudden changes in behavior.
Investigations continue and should deepen the identification of new victims and possible interstate connections of crimes.
