Shakira is a guest on the song “TQD”, by Karol G; she meets the “queen of reggaeton”

In the lyrics, the singers talk about their public and troubled relationships. While Shakira talks about ex-husband Piqué, Karol G sings about Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA, to whom she was engaged for two years.

This, however, is not the first song that the singers have released about their respective relationships. In January, Shakira released a song about the ex-soccer player’s betrayal, while Karol G had already spoken about celebrating life after a breakup in “200 Cups”.

The music video for “TQG” also features references to some classic films such as “Kill Bill”, in a snowy garden, and “The Truman Show”, in the final scene, representing “the end of deceit”.

The song was released with Karol G’s new album, titled “Mañana Will Be Beautiful” , career room. In addition to Shakira, the album also features partnerships with other relevant names in Latin music such as Romeo Santos, Justin Quiles, Sech and Carla Morrison.

Just as Shakira is known as La Loba, Karol G has the nickname Bichota, a term adapted from Latin slang meaning “a woman of power”, commander and/or, “big boss”. The Colombian “title” came after a single of the same name.
