Shakira releases anthem to singleness: “Now I can do whatever I want”

Singer Shakira, 47, released a new song on Wednesday (25). “Soltera” arrived on all music platforms and marks the Colombian’s first project since “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran”, which competes for the Album of the Year award at the Latin Grammys.

New song, the voice of “Hips Don’t Lie” and “Waka Waka” makes a hymn to singleness and lists the things you can do while living alone. The lyrics are penned by Bizarrap and Edgar Barrera, record holder for Latin Grammy nominations this year, as well as Shakira herself. The singer also produces the song.

“No one will tell me how I should behave/You can give your opinion/But I have the right to behave badly to be well/I’m free and now you can do whatever I want”, say the lyrics of the song.

The release of “Soltera” frustrates the expectations of singer Anitta’s fans, who expected her to sing with Shakira in the new song. The idea came about after the release of a video in which the Colombian appears dancing alongside the Brazilian and other Latin personalities, which were later confirmed in the official artwork promoting the song.

In addition to Anitta, Mexican actress Danna Paola also appears in the image. On Wednesday (25), she, who was in the cast of the first three seasons of “Élite”, stated that she has already hooked up with Brazilian football player Neymar.
