The story of one couple is doing the rounds of the internet as they met by chance during holidays which the woman did, in order to overcome it divorce by the father of her child.
According to mirror.co.ukthe 34 year old Amy Ugurlu from Scotland traveled with a friend to the beach resort of Kusadasi in Turkey in 2020, as at that time she divorced the father of her now 6-year-old son.
There, she saw him Mahsum -her current husband- passing by the bar where they were sitting, so she got up and spoke to him. However, he got no response and spent the rest of the holidays without any contact. When she returned back to her country, however, she found his name in the suggested friends on Facebook, so she sent a friend request.
Then, they started to communicate and she booked tickets to Turkey again, while for a few months they couldn’t be close due to the lockdowns. But after the quarantines, they met again in Turkey, where they got married on September 4, 2022, in the city where they met.
They now live together in Scotland, but according to the woman, she was forced to stop talking to her friends, who criticized the relationship. She may have described Mahsum as “the man of her dreams”, but her friends said he “loves her for the visa”.
The 34-year-old emphasizes that her husband does not need to marry her in order to obtain a residence permit in the country and that her life changed for the better from the moment she met him.
