One shelter involving five trucks and a car he left A dead person and two wounds on the night of Monday (28), on the Café Highway (BR-376), in Ponta Grossa, in the interior of Paraná.
The accident happened around 7:55 pm at kilometer 491, towards Curitiba. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the collision was caused by a truck from Piquerobi (SP) that would have shown in the brakes and reached the rear of two semi -trailers in a stretch where traffic was slow.
Congestion in the region occurred due to two other trailers with mechanical problems between kilometers 492 and 493.
With the impact, one of the trucks was thrown forward, reaching another trailer. This vehicle, in turn, collided with a car.
The driver of the trailer who would have lost his brakes died at the scene. Two other drivers were injured and were served by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu). Subsequently, they were sent to the Santa Paula and Santana Emergency Care Units.
The BR-376 was totally banned towards Curitiba between Monday night and the morning of Tuesday (29). The block caused a 9-kilometer congestion, which also affected the BR-373 and Senador Flávio Carvalho Guimarães highway (PR-151). The flow of vehicles was normalized around 6am.
