Leading cryptocurrency developer Shiba Inu, under the pseudonym Shytoshi Kusama, proposed that US President-elect Donald Trump appoint a blockchain advisor to the White House administration.

Shytoshi Kusama put forward this proposal after announcing plans to create the Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE), whose acronym echoes the DOGE cryptocurrency ticker.

There have been rumors that the Department will explore the possibility of introducing a blockchain-based election platform. According to rumors, the system will be called eVote. It will be created in partnership with crypto companies Cardano, Hyperledger, Hedera and the social network X (formerly Twitter). The eVote platform can be used for electronic voting and identity verification.

Shytoshi Kusama wrote that the success of this hypothetical platform depends on the integration of Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE). Without FHE, confidential information and personal data of voters could be exposed by attackers, the anonymous developer warned. Encryption must be able to withstand the threat of being hacked by a quantum computer, he said.

The developer of Shiba Inu called on Trump to appoint a special adviser who could address these problems.

“Without FHE, the platform will fail. Otherwise, attackers will decrypt the votes and then make public the wallets and information about who voted for whom. Chaos will ensue,” warned Shytoshi Kusama.

Earlier, Cardano Foundation CEO Frederik Gregaard said that the fund had already been contacted by the authorities of several American states who wanted to develop a vote counting system based on the Cardano blockchain.
