Shiba Inu team informs SHIB investors about fraudulent activity

The Shiba Inu token development team warned investors that scammers are actively using new schemes to deceive the community.

In the announcement
saidthat a fake Shiba Telegram group was created, in which attackers impersonate an official account and create fake users by responding to messages. At the same time, it is emphasized on the official page of the Shiba Inu project that the real team does not offer promotions, including distributions, bonuses or gifts.

The team recalled that investors need to avoid any disclosure of wallet keys, account data, or subscribing to fake social media accounts. The main methods used by scammers are attempts to impersonate an official account and the use of hashtags #shib, #shibarmy, #leash, #shibaswap and #bone.

Attackers targeted Shiba Inu after the SHIB token peaked at $ 0.000086 on October 28 and ranked ninth in terms of capitalization. In addition, the investor community has posted SHIB on popular exchanges including Binance and Crypto.com. Then the development team released another token – Doge Killer (LEASH), the value of which grew during the month.

The hype around Shiba Inu seems to remain high due to the high number of mentions on social media, the divided opinions of famous investors on the “dog coins” and the competition with Dogecoin, which is actively supported by Elon Musk. Despite this, in November, the number of Shiba Inu addresses on the Ethereum network fell to 980,500. This was due to the market fall at the end of last week – probably, users decided to take profits and sell assets.

The current SHIB rate is $ 0.00004417 and continues to decline, the token dropped to 12th place in terms of capitalization.
