The search for the two missing women after the sinking of a small vessel in São Vicente, on the coast of São Paulo, close to the “Devil’s Throat” were closed last Tuesday night (1st) and should be resumed this Wednesday morning (2nd).
The wreck occurred last Sunday night (29). The vessel carried seven people, five women and two men. Of the passengers, two men and three women have already been rescued.
The search for the missing began shortly after the incident and was resumed on the morning of last Monday (30), to try to locate the two victims who remain missing.
The region where the vessel sank, called “Devil’s Throat”, is considered dangerous because of the strong currents and waves in the sea, which result in a large number of drownings.
There is still no information about the causes of the accident. The Civil Police is investigating the case.
