Shocking images that see the light of day from the death of a 15-year-old by police fire in Oklahoma of the USA. Five police officers were charged Wednesday with manslaughter for the shooting of a boy last November.
Police were called to the scene following reports of a shoplifting attempt, in which they shot 13 times and killed Stavian Rodriguez on November 23.
The boy was recorded by security cameras who secured local media to drop his weapon. He raises his hands, lowers them again and then accepts them shots, as reported by the NY Post.
Initially, a police officer shot Rodriguez with a “less lethal” weapon, according to police.
With one hand in his pocket and the other near his waist, five other police officers “shot Stavian Rodriguez unnecessarily, hitting him several times and causing fatal injuries,” according to an investigator in the Oklahoma Attorney’s Office.
The five police officers are on administrative leave after the shooting. No charges were brought against the police officer who shot with a “less lethal” weapon.
