A video that went viral this week showed the moment a deer devours a snake in India.
The video was shared on social media on Sunday (11), by Susanta Nanda, from the Indian Forestry Service, in the Odisha region.
“Cameras are helping us to understand nature better. Yes. Herbivorous animals sometimes eat snakes,” Susanta said on Twitter.
The question raised in the publication comes to light precisely because deer are herbivores, that is, they feed on leaves and fruits, not the meat of other animals.
By this Wednesday afternoon (14), the video had already surpassed 400,000 views on Twitter and more than 2,700 likes.
