Israeli police said on Thursday (16) that they had “neutralized” a suspect responsible for carrying out a shooting attack at the tunnel checkpoint between Jerusalem and the occupied city of Bethlehem, in the West Bank, adding that large forces had been sent to the scene.
Israel’s ambulance service said its doctors were treating five injured people, including one in critical condition, who were taken to hospitals.
