The first agent who intervened, Eric Talley, was already dead by now, struck by the killer, leaving his wife and seven children. The police then arrived in force and ordered the gunman to surrender. He left the supermarket a white man handcuffed, wearing only a pair of shorts, no shirt. The alleged killer is wounded in the leg.
