What was Fratelli d'Italia deputy Emanuele Pozzolo doing on New Year's Eve armed with a mini revolvers? Who shot the shot that wounded the son-in-law of an escort officer in the leg of the undersecretary for justice Andrea Delmastro, at the ball in Rosazza, in the province of Biella? Even if no complaint has been filed, the Biella prosecutor's office is trying to reconstruct what happened on New Year's Eve.
According to initial reconstructions, the deputy from Vercelli was showing his pocket pistol to the people who were taking part in the party, where he had only stopped by to say hello. And it is then, at 1.15 in the morning, that the accidental shot that injured the 31-year-old was fired. Pozzolo wanted to clarify, in a statement issued yesterday: «I confirm that the gunshot – regularly held by me – went off accidentally, but it wasn't me who fired». The 31-year-old, who will survive with a prognosis of a few days, has not filed a complaint.
Pozzolo initially refused to hand over the clothes to the police and to undergo the stub test, opposing theparliamentary immunitywhich protects deputies and senators. Then, however, he would have agreed to carry out the test to ascertain the presence of any traces of gunpowder on your hands and clothes. The stub looks like a large stick of glue, which is passed over the parts to be inspected, and then sealed. After the measurement, it is sent to the laboratory for analysis. This technique is often used by the police themselves to figure out who shot.
