A short circuit was the cause of a fire that left five people dead in a shooting club in the Ponta Negra neighborhood, in Manaus, according to the expert report released this Tuesday (16). The information was confirmed to CNN by delegate Costa e Silva, head of the 19th Integrated Police District (DIP), who investigated the case.
According to the delegate, the report showed that the short circuit occurred in the wiring. The place where the victims practiced shooting suffered a power overload in one of the 30 bays, which overheated and the victims who were in the space died.
“The report was forwarded to the Public Ministry of Labor, the Federal Police and the investigation to the Courts”, says the delegate. The Amazonas Court of Justice reported that this process is being processed in secret. The case completed one year last Monday (15).
