“Show me your hand, we will save you. Hold on, son. Are you okay, yes? Hold on, son. We’ll get to you.” The images to come through the wreckage in Turkey and Syria they shock.
AlJazeera presents videos of a woman recording herself while trapped in the rubble and a father calling his son. Images that reveal the desperation of those waiting to be saved in the two countries.

A chilling story is also the one recorded in Aleppo, Syria, a country that was also severely affected by the earthquake in Turkey, with a pregnant woman being trapped under the debris of the building she lived in.
As a Twitter user reported by publishing the related videos, the woman, whose identity has not yet been revealed, gave birth while trapped in the debris. The newborn was located and retrieved alive proving the power of life over death, but unfortunately not his mother, who succumbed to her injuries.
