The official clothing or articles of our program or our favorite artists usually have a high price, because wearing the brand that represents them is not anything. However, in most cases, the only thing they sell us is the label, since when we receive the purchases, we realize that they are not worth what they cost and that we could have found it cheaper elsewhere.
Just as it happened to these users, who found an “official” sweater from the program Pinky Promise cheaper in the Shein store, while in the official stores of the youtuber Karla Díaz was exhibited at almost double its price.
Karla Díaz is a member of the pop band JNS and host of the program Pinky Promise in Youtube. She was recently involved in a controversy because in her online store Pinky Shop they put up for sale a sweater alluding to her YouTube channel, promoting it as an exclusive garment on her page.
However, some users realized that the sweater was not so exclusive, since it was also for sale in the Shein store and at a better price.
Given the controversy over the excessive cost of the garment, the criticism and, above all, the claims by those who bought the sweater at a high price did not wait, so the driver began to receive complaints for wanting to cheat her followers.
Users found that the design offered by the retail store has a price of 543 pesos, while in the Pinky Shop it was for sale at 980 pesos, to which the cost of shipping would have to be added, so the final price was almost double.
After the controversy generated by the garment on social networks, the agency that represents Karla Díaz released a statement on her Instagram account, in order to clarify the situation and explain the reason why they decided to sell the sweater on their page.
In the official statement they detail that a Mexican supplier approached their company offering the garment as an original design for the Pinky Promise program.
We also clarify that our driver, Karla Díaz, is not part of the process of contracting suppliers or the operation of the Pinky Shop
They assured that they had no idea that the sweater was also offered on Shein, because they believed that the supplier was the one who manufactured them, so realizing the deception, they chose to return the money to all those who bought it on their page.
After the controversy arose, Karla removed the product from her store, so in the link Where this sweater was offered, now only a legend appears with the phrase “this page does not exist”.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time that Karla Díaz’s store has been involved in problems, since a few months ago it was strongly criticized for selling glasses with the logo of Pinky Promise at a price that most considered quite high.
