Shows and parties surpass sports among Brazilians’ favorites

Even though Brazil is known as the “country of football”, you sporting events are not the ones that most attract Brazilians . According to a survey carried out by the QualiBest Institute between February 19th and March 18th of this year, what attracts the public the most are the national music shows.

To reach this conclusion, the research spoke to 3,120 Brazilian internet users aged 16 or over. Altogether, the musical events account for 35% the preference of the interviewees. Secondly, the feasts of Saint John (June festivities) appear with 34%.

Subsequently, the Carnival gets 27% and the sporting events with 24% . To complete the list, religious festivals had only 19% of preference.

In general, the perspective is that events in Brazil will grow even more. According to data from the Brazilian Association of Event Promoters (Abrape), the expectation is that the sector will earn more than R$75 billion this year.
