The fifth film in the franchise “Shrek” is already in production to premiere in theaters in 2026 . Meanwhile, the other films of the famous animation are available on some streaming services, such as, Globoplay It is Prime Video.
The story told in the first “Shrek” film portrays an ogre whose life is “invaded” by fairy tale characters who destroy the tranquility of his home.
He makes a deal to rescue a princess and, along the way, makes new friends, with a talking donkey and Puss in Boots. The latter of the characters is the subject of two other films in the franchise.
Where to watch the movies of “Shrek”
The movies “Shrek ” (2001), “Shrek 2 ” (2004) and “Shrek the Third ” (2007) are available at Globoplay and on Prime Video .
The fourth animated feature, “Shrek Forever After ” (2010), can be rented on streaming Apple TV, like this “Cat in Boots ” (2011).
The latest film in the franchise, “Puss in Boots 2: The Last Request ” (2022), is also available on Globoplay.

The new production will return with the original cast, formed by Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz, voicing the protagonists Shrek, Donkey and Fiona.
Two weeks ago, Murphy had already confirmed the information, in addition to revealing to the North American portal Collider that the film began to be made “four or five months ago”. He also added that the Donkey will get his own movie .
The confirmation this Tuesday (9) was accompanied by the first teaser from the sequel to “Shrek”.
