Shuttle, which specializes in mini PCs and basic mini PC building kits, has announced the launch of two new products in the latter category. Preliminary information about them appeared in the spring. These are the XPC Barebone DL20N and DL20N6 models in 1.3 L cases, built on passively cooled Jasper Lake processors. The DL20N uses an Intel Celeron N4505 dual-core processor, and the DL20N6 uses an Intel Pentium Silver N6005 quad-core processor. Otherwise, they are identical. To turn these kits into full-fledged PCs, all you have to do is add RAM and storage.
The system configuration can include two DDR4-2933 SO-DIMMs with a total capacity of 16 GB. For the solid-state drive, there is an M.2-2280 slot, into which PCIe 3.0 x2 and SATA 6 Gb / s interfaces are brought out. In addition, it is possible to install a 2.5-inch SSD or HDD up to 12.5 mm thick with a SATA 6 Gb / s interface. The 190 x 165 x 43mm mini PC includes HDMI 2.0b, DisplayPort 1.2 and VGA video outputs that can be used simultaneously. The list of ports includes two USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-A ports, two USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, one Gigabit Ethernet port each, RS232 and RS232 / 422/485. In addition, there is a slot for SD, SDHC and SDXC memory cards, headphone and microphone jacks. Wireless modules are optionally available. The M.2-2230 module adds support for Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0, and the module, which replaces the 2.5-inch drive, adds LTE support. The list of optional accessories available also includes a tower stand (PS02), a patch cable for a remote power button (CXP01), a 2U 19-inch rack mount (PRM01), and a DIN rail mount (DIR01). Power is supplied from an external 40W AC adapter.
The DL20N has a suggested retail price of 231 euros and the DL20N6 281 euros.
