Konami launched, this Tuesday (8), a remake of Silent Hill 2 for PlayStation 5 and PC. The version is an update of the classic released in 2001 for PlayStation 1, considered the best in the franchise.
Silent Hill 2 promises to be a masterclass in psychological horror and elevate the original game’s acclaimed narrative to today’s standards, with more enhanced visuals and sounds. The new version features the Unreal Engine, a new visual technology; the PS5’s 3D audio to immerse the player in the city’s universe; and a perspective that shows the view from over the character’s shoulder.
“Come face to face with terrifying monsters in encounters more chilling than ever before,” says the game’s announcement.
What is the plot of Silent Hill 2?
James Sunderland, the game’s protagonist, receives a surprise letter from his wife, who died three years ago, and is drawn to Silent Hill. There, he searches the entire city looking for traces of her.
The city has a series of surprises in store for you, with a nightmare covered in rust and fog and filled with frightening monsters.
How much does Silent Hill 2 cost?
The remake of Silent Hill 2 for PS5 and PC arrives in two versions:
- Standard Editon, which costs R$349.90;
- Deluxe Edition/Digital Derluxe, which comes with a digital art book, digital soundtrack and Pyramid Head mask, which can be purchased for R$399.50.
