SilverStone has unveiled an M.2 external solid state drive enclosure. It is called Raven RVS03 and is suitable for NVMe and SATA SSDs. In this respect, the Raven RVS03 differs from most similar products, which support drives with only one of these two interfaces.
The case contains a board based on the Realtek RTL9210B-CG controller, which provides the ability to connect to the host using USB 3.2 Gen2 and UASP. The data transfer rate for sequential access reaches 1000 MB / s. The case is completely made of aluminum, and the kit includes a thermal interface that effectively removes heat from the drive to the case, which acts as a radiator. The kit also includes a USB 3.2 cable used for both data exchange and power supply. More precisely, there are two cables: one for connecting to the USB-A connector, and the other to the USB-C connector. The dimensions of the case are 105.7 x 35 x 13.5 mm, the weight is 52.2 g. The manufacturer does not name the price.
