She also spoke during the Hora do Faro program, broadcast on TV Record, about the moment she received the news of her father’s death. “I heard the news at 6am on Saturday. I expected that [a notícia] was: ‘he’s going home’, but my sister simply told me that he had rested”, said Silvia.

“It’s still very difficult to believe what happened, because for 99% of people it’s Silvio Santos but, for me, it’s my father, my master”, said the presenter.

Silvio left six daughters, Silvia being the second oldest, who was adopted by him and Maria Aparecida.

In addition to taking care of SBT’s morning programming, the presenter was in control of the children’s program Bom Dia & Cia and currently presents Sábado Animado, which airs on Saturdays from 6am.

The creator of the SBT broadcaster died at the age of 93, on August 17, due to bronchopneumonia following an Influenza (H1N1) infection.
