Silvio Santos’ grandson wins tennis tournament and dedicates: “To Grandpa Senor”

Pedro Abravanel son of Patricia Abravanel and Fabio Faria paid tribute to Silvio Santos by winning the Federation Tennis Tournament in the 11-year-old category, last Sunday (25).

On social media, the little boy’s father reported the dedication made by his son. “Pedro won the Federation tournament at 11 years old. He is 9 years old, but he wanted to play in a higher category, and in the end he cried with emotion because he won the trophy for Grandpa Senor,” he said.

“He [Silvio Santos] I always asked Pedro about tennis and always wanted to know about the championships”, he recalled.

“Pedro almost didn’t enter the court today in the final, he was very emotional because the game was about to end and we would already have Grandpa Senor’s 7th day mass at the Synagogue. Now he’s taking the trophy for himself,” Fábio added.

Silvio Santos died at the age of 93, on August 17, as a result of bronchopneumonia after infection with Influenza (H1N1).
