Simone and Simaria announced the end of the duo in August 2022. At the time, Simaria was away from the stage to “take care of her children and her vocal condition”, a statement being issued at the time. The separation occurred after months of speculation about alleged conflicts between the sisters and after public disagreements.
Since then, the sisters have rarely been seen interacting publicly. Recently, Simone was asked if she still talked to Simaria, to which she just replied “yes”. At the end of April, Simaria was seen putting makeup on her niece at Simone's place, in a video shared by influencer Carlinhos Maia.
In a recent interview with the program “Conversa com Bial”, Simone Mendes revealed that she felt afraid after the end of the duo with Simaria.
“I was very afraid because, in our history, it is very difficult for a couple to separate and work out. I don't remember any couple in Brazil that separated and one of them left and worked out,” he declared.
