The band Simple Plan surprised by posting a video with the Brazilian’s music Turnip greens who went viral when he released the song “Só Fé” in July of this year.
In the images, the group members appear to be trying out some dance steps. In the caption, they say: “I’m not sure what this is, but we’re told it’s huge in Brazil!” In the comments, several Brazilians reacted after the interaction.
“I wonder how they explained this song to the boys so they could understand the context,” said one fan. “They live in Brazil, we just don’t know,” wrote another user. “This was one of the most random things I’ve ever seen, thank you,” said another Instagram user.
With the rhythm known as “Seresta”, Grelo occupies the first position in the Daily Top Songs Brazil, with almost 2 million streams on Spotify. Three other songs from his album, “É o Grelo”, released last month, are also among the most listened to on the audio platform.
This isn’t the first time Simple Plan has mentioned something Brazilian in their posts. After their visit to the country in March, the band shared a “new version” of their song “Welcome To My Life” . Entitled “Welcome to Brasil”, the Canadian group used the hit with funk beats to pay tribute to the country on their social media.
Back in July, Canadians recreated the Brazilian influencer’s meme Maya Massafera during his time at Belgium . In a video shared on social media by influencers, the group members send kisses and make hearts with their hands.
