This is the “secret” recipe for TikTok’s success, according to Adriano Accardo, Managing Director of the South East Europe platform. The case of TiκTok, which in a very short time gained more than 1 billion users worldwide was the subject of analysis at the 7th Delphi Economic Forum.

Both success, ie in attracting users and the business model, is based on simplicity, Mr. Accardo underlined. The business model of the platform is based on advertising, which has been integrated as part of the operation of TiκTok. For example, as soon as a user opens the application they will see an ad. And this is something simple. At the same time, tools have been developed, which enable companies to create a concept, then a challenge and then ask users to participate. Thus, the two goals of marketing are realized simultaneously, ie the acquisition and retention of the customer, through the so-called “engagement”. Ease of use enables every user to create content, but also in any business. With “story telling” as the main tool, businesses of all sizes can increase sales. Through the platform, for example, Greek feta cheese was advertised in foreign markets, with amazing results.

The data show that 80% of the companies advertised through the platform have a positive image, while 60% of users state that they bought products that they would not have bought if they had not seen them on TikTok.
