The World Cup is less than a week away. And this year it will be more expensive to support the national team. A survey carried out by XP shows that some of the most consumed items during the World Cup reached increases of up to 100% in the last four years, since the last tournament.
The sticker pack is in first place. The item has doubled in price since 2018. That barbecue at home with friends won’t come cheap either, as the price of meat rose by more than 75% in the period.
The shirt of the Brazilian team comes next, with a 40% increase.

The Extended National Consumer Price Index (IPCA), used to measure official inflation in the country, accumulates from July 2018 to October 2022 an increase of 26.7%.
Of the items that appreciated less than inflation, are soft drinks, 26.5% more expensive, beer, 23% more expensive, the World Cup sticker album, which rose 16.5% and, finally, the television, with an increase of almost 10%.
