Shane had mysteriously disappeared for two days from the city of Tallaght, in the eastern part of Ireland, to the point of prompting Sinéad to launch an appeal on Twitter to find him: «Shane, your life is precious. God didn’t carve that pretty smile on your pretty face for nothing. My world would collapse without you. You’re my Heart. Please don’t stop him from beating. Please don’t hurt yourself. Go to the Gardai and we’ll take you to the hospital », wrote the singer who, in January 2019, had faced a voluntary removal by Shane, hospitalized for suicidal tendencies.

The boy was born from the relationship between Donal Lunny, a well-known Irish musician, and Sinéad O’Connor, who has been married four times and has three other children: the eldest son Jake born of her first husband John Reynolds, the second Roisin born of the relationship with John Waters, and Yeshua Francis Neil born of the relationship with Frank Bonadio.
