The musician and composer Nick Cave 64, announced this Monday (9) the death of his son Jethro, 31 years old.
“It is with great sadness that I confirm that my son, Jethro, has died,” Nick Cave wrote in a statement sent to the British press, also asking that the family’s privacy be respected.
So far, the causes of death of the young man, who was an actor, photographer and model, who had been arrested earlier this year and released days before his death are not known.
Jethro was convicted after admitting to assaulting his mother. However, the sentence was reduced after the model’s defense pleaded that he had been diagnosed with schizophrenia.
Jethro’s death comes less than seven years after another tragedy in Cave’s life. In 2015, the musician had already lost another son, Arthur, when he was 15 years old. He died falling off a cliff in Brighton, England.
Nick Cave also has two other children, Earl Cave, 21, and Luke Cave, 30.
