Singer of Panic! At The Disco announces the end of the band to focus on family; understand

The vocalist of Panic! At The Disco, Brendon Urie, announced, this Tuesday (24), the end of the band after 19 years of activity.

In a statement released on the band’s official Instagram, Brendon explained that the reason is the decision to focus on his family in anticipation of the birth of his first child.

“We have tried to keep it [reservado] for ourselves, although some of you may have heard… Sarah and I are expecting a baby very soon!”

“The prospect of being a father and watching my wife become a mother is both humbling and exciting. I’m looking forward to this next adventure. With that said, I will close this chapter of my life and put my focus and energy on my family, and with it, Panic! At The Disco will no longer exist,” he added.

He thanked all the fans for their support since the group’s formation in 2004 in Las Vegas.

“I’ve sat here trying to find the perfect way to say this and I really can’t put into words how much this has meant to us,” stated Brendon.

“Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or just meeting us, it’s been a pleasure to not only share the stage with so many talented people, but also to share our time with you.”

Before ending activities, Panic! At The Disco is still touring countries in the European Union and the United Kingdom between February and March this year.

The band’s last show will take place on March 10, in Manchester, England. Tickets are already sold out.

The band’s last visit to Brazil was in 2019, when they were one of the main attractions at Rock in Rio and considered by the public to be one of the best performances of the night, which ended with the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Panic! At The Disco performs on the fourth night of Rock in Rio 2019.
