Single Check: applications by February 28, what needs to be done

As of February 18, 2.2 million applications had arrived to receive L’universal single allowance for children. Only 3 out of 10 compared to those who can request the contribution, now generalized, that can be received from INPS from the seventh month of pregnancy up to 18 years of age and even up to 21 if you study.

The deadline for submitting the application and receiving the contribution as early as March is 28 February to have the contributions as early as March 15. Those who apply by June will be entitled to arrearsthose who present it only in July will be able to have the contribution only starting from that month.

The application is presented to INPS and it is up to everyone regardless of the value of the ISEE. In fact, it can also be done without presenting this document. Those who do not present the ISEE still receive 50 euros per month for each minor child and 25 for adults. However, he must ask the question and, like everyone, resubmit it every year because it is not an automatic contribution.

With the new single check, the audience of those who will have contributions is expanded and all those who were there up to now, including the bridging check that covered the requests of 2021, are combined in a single payment. Each family can have up to 175 euros per month for each child which drops to 85 for children between 18 and 21 years of age.

The cheque

The Universal Single Allowance for dependent children collects all existing aid measures for families. Only the nest bonus remains, which can be combined with the new check. It applies to all families with children from 7 months of pregnancy up to 21 years of age, students or job seekers. For the disabled it has no time limit. Applies to employees and self-employed.

The amount is calculated on the basis of the Isee indicator and varies according to the number of children. There are age-related variables and increased figures for the disabled.

Over 18 years old

For children aged between 18 and 21, the allowance is provided only if they are enrolled in training courses, job start-ups or on the placement lists. If they have their own income, it must not exceed 8 thousand euros. Those who carry out “universal civil service” can also have it.

Who it goes to

The allowance goes to the parent applying or divided “equally” between the parents. In the case of exclusive custody, “the allowance is due, in the absence of agreement, to the custodial parent”.

Amount

The full amount, 175 euros per child, will go to those with Isee up to 15 thousand euros. They become 350 with two children and 610 for three. It exceeds 950 for four. Beyond this limit, the check drops to a minimum of 50 euros for Isee over 40 thousand or for those who do not present the Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator or do not submit the application. From the third child onwards, there is a surcharge of between 15 and 85 euros per child based on the ISEE. There is a “flat-rate surcharge” of € 100 per month for households “with four or more children”. An additional € 30 per month surcharge goes to each child if both parents are working. Another 20 euros per month for each child go to mothers under 21.

Disabled

For minors there is an extra 105 euros per month “in case of non self-sufficiency”, 95 euros “in case of severe disability” and 85 euros “in case of medium disability”. From 18 to 21 years are 50 euros more per month and over 21 the figure varies according to the ISEE.

Request

The contribution comes directly from INPS and an application must be made to the institution through the portal, entering with it SPID, or the patronages. The beneficiaries of the Citizenship Income will not have to apply for the single check because it will arrive directly.
