There is never a right way to say goodbye to a husband and father who passed away too soon, which is why Arianna Rapaccioni and Viktorija and Virginia decided to say their last goodbyes to Sinisa Mihajlovic, who passed away on December 16 at the age of 53 for acute myeloid leukemia, relying on poetry. The first to break the silence was Victoriawho published the photo of his hand shaking his father’s in the Stories of his Instagram profile: «I hope you are well now my love, wherever you are I know how to love up to there», wrote the eldest daughter of Sinisa Mihajlovic relying on the words of Klaus Mikaelson, one of the protagonists of the series The Vampire Diaries. Words that return in the post dedicated to Sinisa father and champion, with many photos of his career, from the Red Star to Lazio, and still those hands together. «I went down, giving you my arm, at least a million stairs», Viktorija reported, this time borrowing a poem by Eugenio Montale and adding a personal dedication: «I love you with all my heart dad, pure, rare soul, pride of my life, my hero, my great love. Wherever you are, I know how to love up to there».

Instead, his wife Arianna Rapaccioni chose a photograph of the couple and some verses from Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare to pay his last respects to Sinisa Mihajlovic: «When you are no longer part of me, I will cut out many small stars from your memory, then the sky will be so beautiful that the whole world will fall in love with the night», reads his profile. To add to them also the youngest daughter Virginia, who shared a photo of Sinisa while she plays with the little Violante, born in October 2021. «She is tough dad. She is tough. In this moment of immense suffering I just need your hug. Not just any hug, yours. Mixed with your perfume, which, like your soul, remained on. And anyone who knows you knows what I mean. Impossible to accept all this but I find the strength in the immense love that you have given me in these years of life together, so strong that it will accompany me for the rest of my days”.
