A missile from Yemen set off sirens over Tel Aviv and Jerusalem this Saturday (18), one day before the start of the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel in Gaza.
The projectile was intercepted by the Israeli army, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement.
The country’s Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency services said no injuries have been reported so far.
Yemen’s Houthi militants, who have attacked ships in the Red Sea and launched missiles at Israel, say they will only stop when Israel’s war in Gaza ends.
The group said on Saturday that it will closely assist the Palestinian resistance in dealing with Israel in the event of any violation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
