Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will visit Ankara tomorrow, Wednesday, where he will meet with his Turkish counterpart as part of a visit aimed at sealing the reconciliation between the two countries, the Turkish presidency announced today. The visit is being carried out “in response” to Erdogan’s visit to Egypt in mid-February, the presidency explained in its statement. The two leaders had moved to open a “new page” in relations between Ankara and Cairo, which were abruptly severed after Sisi came to power in 2013.
