Tests of Chinese processors based on AMD technologies have appeared on the web again. In this case, we will focus on the CPU Hygon C86 3185.

This processor has eight cores with SMT support, is based on the Zen architecture and operates at frequencies of 2.0-3.4 GHz. There is also 16 MB of L3 cache. In fact, this is an analogue of the Ryzen 7 1700, but with lower frequencies.
The source tested a system with two such CPUs against one Ryzen 5 5600X. On the one hand, the latter is much more modern and operates at significantly higher frequencies, on the other hand, we are talking about the fight between six cores and sixteen.
CPU | Cinebench R20 single point mode | Cinebench R20 multipurpose mode | Cinebench R23 single point mode | Cinebench R23 multi-GPU mode | Blender, s | x264 HD Benchmark, с | PC Mark |
Ryzen 5 5600X | 598 | 4536 | 1536 | 11 717 | 3:33,06 | 60,5 | 12 089 |
C86 3185 (x2) | 304 | 5065 | 655 | 13 214 | 2:44,65 | 40,5 | 7618 |
And the results are exactly in line with both of these points. In single-threaded modes, the new AMD product is much faster, both thanks to the new architecture and higher frequencies, but in multi-threaded modes, a couple of Chinese CPUs are already faster, since they simply have almost three times as many cores.
