“I was shocked,” she said in conversation with CNN, about his reaction when he learned that he would perform in countries like England, Denmark and Germany. “I get a video of a song of mine playing on the radio there,” she said.
To serve the public – which grows daily – Marina began to create increasingly elaborate performances. With more instruments, fancy costumes and even dancers, the singer is excited by the increased interest in seeing her live.
“There came a point in the shows when I said: ‘I need to turn this into a show’. It’s not just me singing for the crowd anymore”, she said when she realized that her newly conquered status as a “pop diva” comes with new demands.
