Skoda introduced an electric cross-coupe: a sports body and 545 km on a single charge

Yesterday, January 31, Skoda officially introduced the latest electric car called Enyaq Coupe iV, which is implemented in a cross-coupe body – this is, in fact, the same Enyaq iV crossover, but with a slightly modified body shape. Actually, the cars are so similar that they even have the same list of modifications (only the basic equipment differs). For example, the basic version of the vehicle is the Enyaq Coupe iV 60 rear-wheel drive car with an electric motor with a capacity of 180 horsepower at 310 Nm of torque. Of course, you should not expect incredible dynamic performance from the basic version, but, on the other hand, it already provides the buyer with a panoramic glass panel on the roof.

In the top configuration Enyaq Coupe RS iV, a potential buyer gets 299 horsepower, all-wheel drive and the ability to accelerate from zero to hundreds in just 6.5 seconds. Of course, for electric cars this is not such a record, but Skoda does not claim to be a sports car. At the same time, the Enyaq Coupe iV 80 modification is present in the car lineup, which, with 204 horsepower, provides 545 kilometers of power reserve – this is a record figure that is quite commensurate with the power reserve of an internal combustion engine car with a full tank. In addition, to increase the power reserve, the manufacturer also took care of a fairly low drag coefficient (0.234) – for this, the body was made more sporty.

On the front panel of the car, you can see the impressive “nostrils” of air intakes, which even BMW designers would envy, there is also a decorative radiator grille with LED backlighting – a similar decorative version was used on the original crossover. Also, engineers and designers used a very sloping roof and special wheels (inspired by Tesla developments), which reduce the resistance to oncoming air flow. Behind, no striking changes have occurred – the same headlights, the same lettering font and decorative elements.

In the cabin, of course, there were no cardinal changes either – the car received a standard 5.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 13-inch multimedia system touchscreen display, a proprietary multifunctional steering wheel and an advanced security system consisting of nine airbags and Travel Assist ( adaptive cruise control, traffic jams, taxiing in narrow spaces).

Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not yet named prices for the new cross-coupe and its modifications, but it is worth noting that the Skoda Enyaq iV in the back of a crossover costs about 4 million rubles in the Czech Republic, translated from crowns. A new car will probably cost a little more.
