A month ago, Skoda officially announced the new affordable Skoda Slavia sedan, which should be unveiled in full detail this December. In the meantime, the manufacturer has published the first official images to evaluate the design of the novelty.
Skoda Slavia will retain the traditional design for the manufacturer, the car will receive a large radiator grille with vertical stripes and narrow headlights with stripes of daytime running lights. At the back, the Skoda sedan is also immediately guessed, although the corresponding inscription, which is present on all new cars of the company, directly screams about this.
Skoda Slavia will be the second model of the Czech manufacturer, designed specifically for India, after the Kushaq crossover presented in spring. Within the framework of the Idia 2.0 project, it is planned to release only four new cars. The Kushaq and Slavia, like the two new Volkswagen models, are based on the MQB-A0-IN Modular Transverse Toolkit platform, which Skoda has adapted to meet the specific needs of the Indian market.
According to previously published information, the front-wheel drive Skoda Slavia will be equipped with two turbocharged TSI petrol engines. 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine with 115 hp. (from the EA211 family) will work in conjunction with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter. There will also be a 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 150 hp. with a torque of 250 Nm, which will be supplied with a fast automatic dual-clutch transmission.
The interior of the novelty will have a digital dashboard and six airbags, as well as a large set of electronic assistants.
