Renowned automaker Skoda has launched a countdown website to the presentation of the fourth-generation Fabia, which will take place on May 4 at 20:00 Moscow time.
So far, the company has revealed a new teaser image that showcases the silhouette of the updated hatchback. It is known that the car will be built on the modular platform MQB-A0 and will surpass its predecessor in size. Due to the increased physical dimensions, the interior and trunk area will be more spacious.
When developing a new car, great attention was paid to aerodynamics. The drag coefficient is reduced from 0.32 to 0.28 thanks to slightly modified body shapes and active flaps on the lower air intake, which automatically open when necessary.
The new Skoda Fabia should receive a digital instrument panel Virtual Cockpit, like the already updated older Skoda models, as well as a large touchscreen multimedia and entertainment system, support for Android Auto, Apple Car Play, automatic driver assistance and so on.
Buyers will be offered gasoline engines ranging from 65 to 150 hp, including the top version with a 1.5-liter turbo engine and a robotic DSG gearbox.
Car sales will start in the second half of 2021.
