A working meeting between Energy Minister K. Skrekas and Gazprom President Alexei Miller took place today in St. Petersburg, the seat of the Russian energy giant.
The two sides analyzed the situation and the prospects of cooperation in the energy sector, especially with regard to the supply of Russian gas. It was pointed out that Gazprom exported over 3 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Greece, during the 11 months of 2021. This is a record quantity which in fact exceeds the quantity delivered in 2020 by Gazprom to Greece.
Regarding the Greek request for a change in the pricing formula of imported gas, in order to reduce the percentage determined by the international gas prices (TTF) and to strengthen the percentage determined on the basis of the price of oil (oil) indexed), competent sources referred to the forthcoming meeting of Prime Minister K. Mitsotakis, with Russian President V. Putin in Sochi next Thursday.
