The survey was based on statistics collected for the last 3 months (for the period December 28, 2021 to March 28, 2022) depending on the number of visits to the platform. The analysis shows the most popular product categories based on the preferences of Skroutz Marketplace visitors as well as the average price they paid per category to get their favorite product. The main conclusions that emerge regarding the product categories that stood out are the following:
• In the first place of consumer preferences are the items of the category “Fashion & Accessories” with the consumer looking for and buying mainly men’s jackets, women’s bags and men’s sweatshirts in order of priority.
• The second place is occupied by the category “Mobile Phones & Accessories” with consumers spending an average of 265 euros to buy mobile phones.
Greek consumers seem to be investing in electronics this time around as well, with the purchase of laptops, graphics cards and computer screens climbing to the top of their preferences. It is worth noting that on average consumers spent almost 600 euros on buying a laptop and almost 500 euros on graphics cards respectively.
Special mention is made of the popular categories “Household items / furniture”, with the purchase of sofas occupying the first place in the category and consumers spending an average of about 300 euros.
